DAVID DIAZ GOT THROUGH THE MANDATORY PRE-WEIGH-IN
At the World Boxing Council Offices, we received a letter from Joel Campuzano, Chairman of the Illinois Athletic Commission, in the U.S.A. The headquarters of such Commission are located in the capital of the state, Springfield. The letter served to inform that former Lightweight world champion, David Diaz, of Chicago, got through the thirty-day pre-weigh-in for his bout against Mexican fighter Humberto “Zorrita” Soto, that will be held this coming March 13th, in Arlington, Texas, and a battle in which the Vacant WBC Lightweight world title will be put on the line. Such title was held by undefeated knock out artist of Venezuela, Edwin Valero not long ago.
The information given by Commissioner Campuzano, was also sent to Luis Escalona, WBC Medical Control Supervisor, who lives in McAllen, Texas.
