THE WBC WORRIES ABOUT ACCIDENTS INVOLVING SUICIDES AND MURDERS
The World Boxing Council has shown its being worried about the series of accidents that have happened throughout this 2009, involving questionable suicides as in the case of Canadian fighter, Arturo Gatti who passed away in Brazil; the incident in which Vernon Forrest was murdered in the U.S.A., and recently the case in which Turkish-German promoter, Ahmet Oner was hurt in one of his legs, after being shot three times by attackers who have not been identified up to now; Mr. Oner is still in a serious condition in a hospital in Hamburg, Germany.
On behalf of the fighters and the World Boxing Council itself, we ask the authorities of the corresponding countries to carry out a thorough investigation, so that these felonies do not go unpunished, and the boxing fans in the world are given the certainty that the offenders who have attacked our boxing people will be firmly chased.
