Rarely does such a young fighter capture the attention of Australia’s most influential boxing
figures let alone some of history’s greatest ever fighters.
Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib, a world champion at only 22 years of age enjoys freakish talent beyond his
years. The upcoming bout is Billy’s first for 2009 after experiencing both the highs and lows
of the boxing world throughout 2008. This is the commencement of some major mountains
he intends to climb throughout the year.
Mentors Mosely, De La Hoya, Hopkins through to the ‘Prince’ Naseem Hamad (all former
and current world champions) are all great friends. Importantly, though for Billy they are
great ‘warriors’ for Billy to strive to emulate. ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosely has described Billy as
‘exciting, audiences love him and I’m sure he’ll be one of the best fighters Australia has ever
produced.”
Billy ‘the Kid’ Dib is real, talented, energised and focused for what lies ahead and it begins
on March 11, 2009 at ‘The Cube’ at the Campbelltown Catholic Club.
